Always Innovating releases open source laptop

Netbook reloaded
"Until now, all netbooks were engineered the same way: Power-hungry Intel Atom, ugly case, and outdated 90's OS. Our goal: To achieve a breakthrough in both architecture and design. The result: a revolutionary device that works as both a netbook and a standalone tablet thanks to a detachable keyboard and a 3D touchscreen user interface."
And they totally did. It looks very slick and all the details are pixel perfect. They reached a level of finishing and from what we see powerful features achieved by an ARM processor using a custom os Touch Book Os comparable to Bug Labs quality.
So the specifications are :
9.4" x 7" x 1.4" for 2 lbs (with keyboard)
ARM Texas Instruments OMAP3 chip
1024x600 8.9'' screen
Storage: 8GB micro SD card
Wifi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth
3-dimensional accelerometer
Speakers, micro and headphone
6 USB 2.0 (3 internal, 2 external, 1 mini)
10h to 15 hours of battery life
Now this looks ok but here is where it gets interesting : the screen is detachable and becomes a tablet and you have batteries in both parts of the laptop. How crazy is that?

So open source? Yes my friends both software and hardware :
Software : Touch Book OS is built from the excellent OpenEmbedded system.
Hardware : Based on the Beagleboard project, the schematics of The Touch Book board are released under GPL.
