- because we love open source hardware;

- because if you are good with electronics you don't want (or have) to spend time learning web development;

- because you need a community for your hardware project and blogs, wikis and other substitutes are not exactly what are you looking for;

- because more bright minds = a faster development of the project;

- because you will find suppliers of parts and services.

2. What do you get?

- a page at http://harkopen.com/projects/your_project containing the projects details (mission, picture, documentation, license type, official blog or website link if it exists)

3. How?

- you create an account and you are ready to go! (that simple);

- you will get a profile page with personal information, access to join all projects, create news ones;

- you can submit news entries and create tutorials to help your fellow open source techies;

- you get what you always wanted : a secret laboratory :D (sweet huh?) a command center to create, administer crazy hardware projects , keep an eye on others and share the wonders you create;

- you can post here the projects files (schematics, pdfs, parts lists, images).

4. F.a.q

- so does harkopen.com owns what I post? Answer : NO (you will post your project under an open source hardware license so everybody can share it under your conditions).

- my project is already posted here and I didn't knew about it .. how can I take control? Answer : We took the liberty to add some projects to test the platform. If you created one of them please contact us after creating an account and we will make you manager of the respective group. Also be aware that you were one of the chosen ones so thumbs up and keep up the good work.

- so there is a cost to this service? Answer : NO It's totally free,
